MONOSTITCH | inaugural collection

In 1981, French poets Emmanuel Hocquard & Claude Royet-Journoud solicited monostitches from more than 100 of their friends and collaborators, among them some of the most interesting writers of the day; these were published for the first time in 1986. Lampblack aims to celebrate its launch by marking the fortieth anniversary of Monostiches with a new collection of over 100 one-line poems from our own friends and accomplices. so lampblack begins as a collaboration, one line of verse at a time.

The collection will be available in late 2026.
